How long will it take to receive my license once I have completed all of the exams?

Scores are released within 14 days of the examination. Once all requirements are met and verified by board staff your license will be issued.

How can I register for the computer-based part of the exam given by Prometric?

You will not be able to register with Prometric until you have received the Candidate Information Packet from Practitioner Reporting and Examination Services Unit (PRES). You may visit our examination pages at https://floridasoptometry.gov/resources/examination/ or contact PRES by telephone at (850) 245-4252 for information regarding the administration of the exam.

What are the re-examination fees?

In order to re-take the laws and rules examination, there is an examination fee of $100.00.
